Prebur WaterTech — Water Filtration Sourcing Brief

Project Summary

What we are building: a water filtration line sold under the Prebur brand ("Prebur WaterTech"), following the same model as our air filter programme: OEM manufacture in China, Prebur-branded packaging, imported by Momo Global via Pro Logistics.

The launch line is deliberately tight: 17 SKUs, every one already selling in volume in South Africa today. No experimental products in Order 1. Systems build the customer base; replacement cartridges are the repeat-revenue core — cartridge pricing and consistency matter more than system pricing.

What we need from E2W now: identify 1–2 integrated factories and return FOB quotations against the SKU tables below. First order is a 20ft container (~31 CBM), indicative FOB value US$25,000–30,000 (final mix re-balanced once real FOB prices are in). A short Phase 2 list at the end shows where the programme goes next — for factory-capability awareness only, no quotes needed yet.

Target factory profile

Integrated manufacturer: residential RO/UF systems with own melt-blown PP and CTO cartridge production lines plus filter housings in one catalogue. The Ningbo / Yuyao / Cixi (Zhejiang) cluster is the heart of this industry.
ISO 9001 required. NSF/ANSI 42/53/58, WQA, CE, RoHS on relevant items strongly preferred — send certificate pack with quotes.
Uses industry-standard components we specify: Vontron (or equivalent certified) membranes, 24VDC diaphragm booster pumps, standard 10"/20" DOE cartridge formats.
OEM capability: Prebur-branded colour boxes, English manuals, private-label cartridge shrink labels. Artwork supplied by us as per air filter orders.
Third-party pre-shipment QC (same arrangement as our air filter orders) must be accepted.

Critical South African requirements (apply to every SKU)

Threads: BSP, not NPT — all housing ports, fittings and adapters. SA plumbing is BSP throughout. The single most common spec mistake — please confirm explicitly with each factory.
Electrical: 220–240V / 50Hz. Pumps on 24VDC with 220V-input transformers.
Pressure: housings and systems rated ≥8 bar working pressure (state burst pressure in quote). Big Blue housings with pressure-release button.
Cartridge format: DOE (double open end) on all 2.5" and 4.5" cartridges — must interchange with the existing SA installed base (Pentair/Pentek, Puritech, JoJo, SUPERPURE housings).
Materials: food-grade on all wetted parts; SGS or equivalent food-contact test reports requested with quotation.

Quantities are indicative for quotation and container planning — final PO quantities will be balanced to the 20ft after FOB confirmation. "SA proof of demand" shows why each SKU made the launch list.
